Smart Too Late, Old Too Soon is the most recent of Chuck's work since winning the Ludlow Folk Festival Songwriters Contest in 2005 and recieving Honorable Mention from the Peacedriven Songwriting Awards in early Spring 2006.

This album has 10 tracks, with the title track offering insight into learning about life before it is to late.  All but one of the songs were written in the last year.  It has been said that his Folk, Americana style is reminiscent of early Neil Young, John Mellencamp with a touch of Dylan all the while being completely original.

Two of the songs are collaborations with poets David Weatherford of Nashville (Slow Dance) and Chuck's brother Ben Williams (Broken Wings).  All other music, lyrics and arrangements are by Chuck

In March of '07 Singer/Songwriter, Chuck Williams attended the March 24th Stop the War Rally where he performed for a reported 5,000 citizen/activists.  The experience inspired him to write 2 new songs, With Peace and Citizens Request to add to his award winning song On The Line to create his new EP titled 'Trilogy'.

This themed EP was produced to help raise funds for the Veterans for Peace Organization, Bostons Smedley Butler Brigade,  www.smedleyvfp.org  
100% of the proceeds goes to the VFP, Chapter 9.

Chuck release his 5th studio album titled 'Lightning In A Bottle'. It is said that this songwriter is just hitting his stride and the collection of tunes on his latest offering support that. The music does exactly what it is suppose to do.....It reaches emotions in the listener. It gives words to feelings we all share and provokes thought long after the CD is over. His style is unique yet it feels familiar.  If you can imagine a fresh writing style rooted in the American folk-rock tradition, you would be on the path that leads to this musician’s memorable songs.

From the folk ballad of  his hometown hobo 'Steam Train Maury', to the fantasy of 'Lightning In A Bottle' and the political statement within  'I Want My Country Back' Chuck has crafted memorable tunes and collaborated with other songwriters and musicains on this recent offering.
